The series of projects address energy-poor citizens in Zagreb, Croatia. The project was conducted in 4 iterations over 5 years. The latest iteration, "Together for more comfortable housing 4" was focused on the specific energy needs and housing conditions of people with disabilities.

The project focused on trainings for professionals who work daily with the population in a situation of energy vulnerability.

The project aims at ensuring that vulnerable households have access to renewable energies, helping to cover energy needs, and supporting multiple policy goals, such as affordable energy, job creation, and improved public health. Although the need is great, many households may not be able to afford RES installations or may be inhibited from participating in the energy transition for other reasons such as lack of access to information, difficulties to access finance or ownership patterns.

Solutions to Tackle Energy Poverty developed a simple, innovative and replicable model of measures to address energy poverty. STEP’s overall objective was to alleviate energy poverty by encouraging behavioural change and low-cost energy efficiency solutions among consumers in or at risk of energy poverty through trusted, tailored advice.

The project was based on the territorial need to address social participation and the creation of ties the situation of poverty and vulnerability. The innovative element of the project was the participation of vulnerable people in public photovoltaic installations. Through a social billing system, it was intended to develop a new energy culture linked to the values ​​of the territory and the communication of social activities aimed at improving cohesion from diversity.

The project stimulates sustainable renovation in the third sector. SER intends to design, set up, and implement an innovative de-risking financing mechanism that entails financing and technical standardisation, project aggregation, social impact assessment and credit enhancement.

The project aimed to engage private consumers and households in co-financing schemes for renewable energy (RE) installations, with a focus on vulnerable groups like low-income HH, unemployment and women.

The project aimed to create an innovative employment plan and to promote energy education and a new energy culture, especially aimed at people in a situation of vulnerability to unemployment (women outside the circuits of formally paid work) in Nou Barris, a district of Barcelona especially affected by energy poverty.

The project aims to create local jobs via retrofitting interventions and reduce CO2 emissions, producing a carbon calculator and to reduce fuel poverty and the improvement of the housing stock in very deprived areas of the country.

The aim of REACH project is to contribute to energy poverty reduction at practical and structural level. The project empowers energy poor households to take actions to save energy and change their habits, and to establish energy poverty as an issue that demands structural solutions at local, national and EU level.
