The ComAct project aims to make high-impact/high-cost energy-efficient improvements in multi-family apartment buildings in the CEE and CIS regions affordable and manageable for energy-poor communities as well as to create the necessary assistance conditions for lifting them out of energy poverty.

Energy Poverty Zero project' main objective is to support progress toward scale up of deep energy retrofit in vulnerable district to fight energy poverty by combining existing efforts on energy poor people support, one-stop-shops, deep-energy retrofit industrialization and district-based dynamics. Energia in Periferia (Energy in the suburbs)

Banco dell'energia receives funds from private donors which ask to develop the project "Energy in the suburbs" in a precise city. Banco dell'energia identifies the non-profit organisations deeply rooted in the city of interest and able to take an active part in the project. Their role is to identify the beneficiaries (vulnerable families in energy poverty), to pay them energy bills through the funds received by Banco dell'energia and to do a timely report of payments. Moreover, the non-profit organisations, with the support of Banco, carry out the activity of energy education and data collection through the professional figures of TEDs. One or more scientific partners analyse the data collected in order to issue specific reports on Energy Poverty.

Comunità Energetica di Roveri e Plastro - Green Energy Community (GECO)

The Green Energy Community (GECO) is a demonstration project in the Pilastro – Roveri district of Bologna. It comprises the creation of an energy community, an entity introduced by the EU Clean Energy Package (CEP). The GECO project intends to tackle social, technical and economic aspects related to the creation of the green energy community in order to increase sustainability, reduce energy poverty and generate a low carbon economic cycle. The project is carried out by AESS, ENEA, UNIBO, CAAB/FICO and Agenzia Pilastro, with the Emilia Romagna Region, GSE, RSE, City of Bologna, local associations, businesses and citizens and with the financial support of EIT Climate-KIC.

Healthy Homes Initiative

The Healthy Homes Initiative programme managers at the Ministry of Health are helped by other government agencies, or middle actors in the community to identify eligible families, with the aim to carry out a comprehensive housing assessment by certified Home Energy Performance Advisors, and devise individualised action plans to help create warmer, drier, healthier homes.
