Tackle energy poverty in households with disabled people and support social integration

The project aims to strengthen households with disabled people economically, socially, and environmentally, and contribute to achieving national climate targets defined in the NECP. The project will subsidise the implementation of small-scale energy renovations, such as thermal insulation, in 300 energy-poor and disabled households.

Cosy Homes in Lancashire

The ‘Cosy Homes in Lancashire’ (CHiL) scheme is a countywide energy efficiency and affordable warmth initiative. CHiL was developed by 15 local authorities in Lancashire following a comprehensive energy efficiency study commissioned by Blackpool Public Health in 2013. The scheme offers an accessible and straightforward means of accessing grants from energy companies and other sources to fund new heating measures, insulation, and renewable technologies in domestic properties.
