The ComAct project aims to make high-impact/high-cost energy-efficient improvements in multi-family apartment buildings in the CEE and CIS regions affordable and manageable for energy-poor communities as well as to create the necessary assistance conditions for lifting them out of energy poverty.

LIFE ReHABITA project aims to alleviate the energy poverty by fostering deep energy renovations of the energy inefficient homes of vulnerable families. The project will set up ReHABITA Offices (one-stop shops) to deliver an integrated home renovation services in some of the most deprived neighbourhoods in the participating municipalities.

RENOVERTY fosters energy efficiency building upgrades in the energy poor households of Central and Eastern Europe / South-eastern Europe and Southern European countries by establishing the methodological and practical framework to build renovation roadmaps for vulnerable rural districts in a financially viable and socially just manner. Specifically, the project aims to deliver tools and resources to support local and regional actors to build and execute operational single or multi-household roadmaps for rural areas. A scalable model will also be created to ensure the wide geographical replicability and implementation of the roadmaps by different actors at the EU level.

CLEAR-HP aims to facilitate consumers’ access to heat pumps products by accompanying consumers throughout the whole purchasing journey, and by addressing financial and regulatory barriers. The project promotes consumer awareness and empowers them to lead the clean energy transition, improving the energy performance and comfort of their homes, in addition to reducing their energy bills.

The POWERTY project works to increase access to renewable energy for vulnerable groups to tackle energy poverty. It does this primarily by improving regional policy instruments targeting 4 topics: new innovative technologies, new formulas for financing, improving the regulatory framework and empowering vulnerable groups. Over the project's 4 year duration, the partners will develop a complete learning process to facilitate an effective knowledge flow between these regions.

The «Xarxa per una Transició Energètica Justa» in Castelló aims to mobilise the different groups that make up the ecosystem of community based organisations of the city to make the social problems associated with the climate and energy crisis visible. It also aims to promote a new energy culture that contributes to reducing energy vulnerability of families through a fair energy transition.

Banco dell'energia receives funds from private donors which ask to develop the project "Energy in the suburbs" in a precise city. Banco dell'energia identifies the non-profit organisations deeply rooted in the city of interest and able to take an active part in the project. Their role is to identify the beneficiaries (vulnerable families in energy poverty), to pay them energy bills through the funds received by Banco dell'energia and to do a timely report of payments. Moreover, the non-profit organisations, with the support of Banco, carry out the activity of energy education and data collection through the professional figures of TEDs. One or more scientific partners analyse the data collected in order to issue specific reports on Energy Poverty.

Generació Dones is an innovative job placement plan aimed at promoting the energy rehabilitation of buildings and energy efficiency, aimed at unemployed women in Barcelona. The objective is the promotion of female employment in a highly masculinized sector such as construction and renewable energies through a transferable and replicable pilot proposal that, on the one hand, breaks with the sector's horizontal segregation, and on the other, that it can contribute to the investment in rehabilitation and energy efficiency coming from the European Next Generation funds having an impact on the groups that require it most, and specifically, on women.

The Healthy Homes Initiative programme managers at the Ministry of Health are helped by other government agencies, or middle actors in the community to identify eligible families, with the aim to carry out a comprehensive housing assessment by certified Home Energy Performance Advisors, and devise individualised action plans to help create warmer, drier, healthier homes.

The Energy Hardship Expert Panel brings together 5 leaders from a range of backgrounds who collectively hold key insights, connections and experience working directly with households living in or at risk of energy hardship. The objective of the panel is to recommend to government, policy priorities and actions to alleviate energy hardship and provide impartial evidence-based expert advice. The Panel’s work programme will in part, be drawn from the Electricity Price Review’s findings and the government’s response to its recommendations.
