CLEAR-HP aims to facilitate consumers’ access to heat pumps products by accompanying consumers throughout the whole purchasing journey, and by addressing financial and regulatory barriers. The project promotes consumer awareness and empowers them to lead the clean energy transition, improving the energy performance and comfort of their homes, in addition to reducing their energy bills.

The POWERTY project works to increase access to renewable energy for vulnerable groups to tackle energy poverty. It does this primarily by improving regional policy instruments targeting 4 topics: new innovative technologies, new formulas for financing, improving the regulatory framework and empowering vulnerable groups. Over the project's 4 year duration, the partners will develop a complete learning process to facilitate an effective knowledge flow between these regions.

The Green Energy Community (GECO) is a demonstration project in the Pilastro – Roveri district of Bologna. It comprises the creation of an energy community, an entity introduced by the EU Clean Energy Package (CEP). The GECO project intends to tackle social, technical and economic aspects related to the creation of the green energy community in order to increase sustainability, reduce energy poverty and generate a low carbon economic cycle. The project is carried out by AESS, ENEA, UNIBO, CAAB/FICO and Agenzia Pilastro, with the Emilia Romagna Region, GSE, RSE, City of Bologna, local associations, businesses and citizens and with the financial support of EIT Climate-KIC.

The Minister of Energy and Resources commissioned an independent panel of experts to lead the review. Panel members were appointed by the Minister in April 2018. The review was completed in two phases. The first phase focused on determining facts and building evidence of problems in the sector. The second phase focused on developing possible improvements to those problems.

In the POWERTY pilot, a pilot collective photovoltaic installation is carried out on the roof of public schools to share most of the energy generated with families in a situation of energy poverty in the neighborhood. All this accompanied by legal, social and technical assistance.

Chance for Buildings is an alliance by leading trade associations that supports energy efficient and environmentally sustainable construction and renovation of buildings. It brings together various Czech actors and represents over 300 companies across the entire value chain of building construction and renovation. Chance for Buildings aspires to reap the crucial societal benefits of energy efficient and quality buildings

In precarious neighbourhoods of Mantes-la-Jolie (FR), privately co-owned properties tend to be excessively run­down. As a result, EPAMSA– a public development agency responsible for urban development and renovations in the Grand Paris region – successfully implemented Energy Performance Contracts to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings by specifically targeting private, precarious co-owned properties.

Solutions to Tackle Energy Poverty develops a simple, innovative and replicable model of measures to address energy poverty. STEP’s overall objective is to alleviate energy poverty by encouraging behavioural change and low-cost energy efficiency solutions among consumers in or at risk of energy poverty through trusted, tailored advice.

It stimulates sustainable renovation in the third sector. SER intends to design, set up, and implement an innovative de-risking financing mechanism that entails financing and technical standardisation, project aggregation, social impact assessment and credit enhancement.
