Les Locaux moteurs
Les Locaux moteurs
MeasureThe goal is to reach isolated people affected by energy poverty or just not reached in surveys etc. 8 citizens (part-time employed, used to associative work,...) are recruited for each campaign (12 months) to go door-to-door and connect these isolated people to the relevant organisations. They give advice, inform them on energy poverty, encourage them to ask for social support. The objective to employ simple citizens to go directly to people's homes is to establish trust, talking peer-to-peer in a human approach (isolated people are not systematically equipped with a computer for example).
The budget is about 45.000 € per campaign. So far, 90% of the 1118 households expressed trust and 202 contacts passed on to the OPAH operation (programmed operation of housing improvement) to begin construction work in the identified households. The next action will target the monitoring of renovations. The measure is a good practice because it reaches vulnerable people, out of the usual detection network. It gives a second source of revenue to the 8 "locaux moteurs" for the duration of the information campaign (16 to 18h of dedicated work perr month) and can be adapted to any territory.
