The initiative provides empowerment to citizens about energy efficiency, electric market and energy prices. The projectpays particular attention to energy bills and offers strategies to save money and kWh.

It offers information, diagnosis and personalised advice to understand and reduce energy supply bills, learn responsible energy consumption habits and implement energy efficiency measures to implement in their homes, as well as subsidies or programmes to finance them. The transmission of information to the population, and especially to vulnerable people, is carried out through different tools and channels.

ICCARus aims to renovate 100 houses owned by captive residents and is developing an innovative financial tool: a recurring fund based on the principle of subsidy retention.

The HOPE chaire is a cross-disciplinary research on energy poverty to deepen understanding of previously underexplored issues like the links between housing and mobility and housing and health in the context of energy poverty.

The project is based on the opportunity to retrofit full neighbourhoods that are in a vulnerable situation and are located on the outskirts of big cities, built between the post-war period in Spain and 1979.

GREENABILITY consists of an education programme, based on collaboration and exchange among partners which are expert in providing social services, starting from an environmental approach, and in facing these issues both in their relation to low-income families and inside communities hosting vulnerable people in specific care homes.

The initiative is helping energy poor citizens as well as professionals from local authorities (mainly social workers) to better understand the energy bill and the energy use/purchase, and to make the society more aware of the problems related to energy poverty as well as about ways to improve the situation.

The project offers assistance to vulnerable households to tackle energy poverty and climate change, through a professional who can comprehensively advise families.
