SUITE is one of the seven projects financed by the European Social Catalyst Fund (ESCF), which aims to design a strategy to scale up a proven social innovation (the ASSIST model) aimed at reducing energy poverty through social operators.

Solutions to Tackle Energy Poverty develops a simple, innovative and replicable model of measures to address energy poverty. STEP’s overall objective is to alleviate energy poverty by encouraging behavioural change and low-cost energy efficiency solutions among consumers in or at risk of energy poverty through trusted, tailored advice.

The project is based on the territorial need to address, from social participation and the creation of ties the situation of poverty and vulnerability. The innovative element of the project is the participation of vulnerable people from public photovoltaic installations that they allow families to receive a bonus on the bill. Through a social billing system, it is intended to work a new energy culture linked to the values ​​of the territory and the communication of social activities aimed at improving cohesion from diversity.

The project is oriented to jointly tackling the topic of housing deprivation and energy efficiency in the scope of social housing sector towards a lower carbon economy. In this context the overall objective of the project is to improve regional policy instruments targeting the link between social housing sector and fuel poverty with green building interventions considering policy, institutional, financial and technical levels.

The project offered training to a group of local government officials to auditing the sustainability level of a sample of 100 low-income homes, weatherized them and measured impacts and results.

It stimulates sustainable renovation in the third sector. SER intends to design, set up, and implement an innovative de-risking financing mechanism that entails financing and technical standardisation, project aggregation, social impact assessment and credit enhancement.

The project aims at engaging private consumers and households in co-financing schemes for renewable energy (RE) installations, with a focus on vulnerable groups like low-income HH, unemployment and women.

The municipality developed a support scheme for people in a situation of energy poverty using money raised during the traditional public run.

The project aims at assisting local authorities and other stakeholders in small sized rural municipalities in Rhodope Region of Bulgaria in successful launching and implementation of sustainable energy projects.

RHEPOB aims to analyse the relationship between hidden energy poverty, the adaptive behavior of occupants associated to thermal conditions and the architectonic features of dwellings in Central-Southern Chile, to generate architectonic design and usage criteria that help identify and reduce energy poverty.
